“a glance at the range of events happening around the globe right now – wildfires, flooding, heatwaves – tells us that we are not remotely prepared for the extremes that this warmer world has bought us”

Some happy news:
I’ve been appointed as Lecturer in Climate Policy, Politics & Sustainability with @HAPPatQUB @QUBbioscience in @QUBelfast
This exciting new cross-Faculty position will help advance #interdisciplinary #research #teaching for #ClimateAction #Sustainability 🌎💚
"Three elements – transdisciplinarity, a systems approach, and transformation of how institutions conduct and fund research – will be critical to address #climatechange and #biodiversityloss in the coming years, concludes a new report from the @FutureEarth community." 👇
This study from Maynooth University focussed specifically on how often we can expect extremes like that to return, and how big an area would be affected.
